1. Overview

This page explains how Rezly processes account data, usage data, and account deletion requests. It is designed to be extended as the product adds more features.

2. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Rezly account from the My Account page. Rezly applies irreversible anonymization of your account profile and authentication data, disables access, and removes local upload files associated with your account.

After anonymization, your account can no longer be used to sign in. Identifiers such as email, display name, avatar, credentials, and active auth tokens are removed from active use.

If an active Stripe subscription exists, Rezly requests cancellation at the end of the current billing period during account deletion to stop future recurring charges.

3. Retained Records for Service Statistics and Billing

Rezly retains selected historical records after account deletion (for example, aggregate usage, upscaling history metadata, subscription/payment history, and lifecycle events) to preserve service statistics, financial traceability, and platform integrity.

These retained records are kept in a pseudonymized form linked to an internal account identifier and are no longer tied to active profile credentials.

4. Fraud-Prevention Retention (Minimal Data)

To prevent abuse (for example, repeatedly deleting and recreating an account to gain welcome credits), Rezly keeps a minimal anti-abuse record after deletion.

This record stores a pseudonymized hash of your email address (not the raw email), deletion timestamp, retention expiration date, and a capped restorable credit balance (maximum 5). It is used only to restore your previous balance while preventing repeated welcome-credit grants.

5. Legal Basis

Post-deletion retention described above is processed on the basis of legitimate interests (service integrity, abuse prevention, and product analytics) and, where applicable, compliance with accounting and legal obligations. It is not used for marketing.

6. Retention Period

Anti-abuse deletion records are retained for up to 24 months, then they should be removed or ignored. Other pseudonymized records may be retained for longer when required for legal obligations (for example, accounting) or legitimate operational history.

7. Recreated Accounts

If you create a new account after deleting a previous one, Rezly may restore your previous balance up to a maximum of 5 credits instead of issuing new welcome credits again.

8. Third-Party Processors

Rezly may rely on third-party providers for authentication, payments, hosting, and operational monitoring. These providers process data under their own legal terms and security controls.

9. Contact
